Knife Operator: Lockout /
Tagout Certified
Responsibilities:
Program knife blade speed
ratio, blade depth, blade offset, cut spacing and board grouping to meet
product specifications.
Pull
test sample every 30 minutes to perform 21 point quality assurance tests including
but not limited to: width, weight, positive & negative angles (steel
protractor), front & back bonding, front & back paper alignment,
13 point calibration (digital micrometer), facial defects, Voids, Hollow
Edges, End Lift, End Shatter
Communicate
any anomalies or variations to Mixer Operators so they can make needed corrections
prior to board getting to Knife.
Communicate
any anomalies or variations to Dryer Operators and Take-Off Coordinator so
they are aware of any board that may need to be rejected.
Perform
preventative maintenance on Live rolls, Knife, Grouping tables,
On
rolls, Wet transfer belts, Inverter arms, Off rolls, and Return conveyors
1-5.
Assure
all equipment and tools are kept organized, clean and in good working
condition, perform HK on a daily basis in and around knife area encompassing
about 24,000 sqf.
Riser Operator & Cutback Saw: Lockout / Tagout Certified
Responsibilities:
Cut risers to predetermined
specifications that will be use for spacing between the lifts of board
prior to storage and shipping.
Perform
preventative maintenance on Vacuum lift, Skate rolls, Shear press, Layer
Pusher Glue quills, Board press, Saws, Pinch rolls as well as scissor
pallet table.
Perform
HK in and around Riser area encompassing about 1500 sqf.
Paper Operator: Back-Up Only - Not Lockout / Tagout
Certified at this time
Responsibilities:
Stage, prepare and hang paper
rolls (1600 lbs to 6000 lbs)
Prepare paper alignment and
tension for seamless splicing from one roll to the next for contiguous
runs with zero splice failures.
Monitor
chop (fiberglass chop) tank status and trending so proper ratio of chop
is
integrated
into the product through the mixer adhering to Master Formulations.
Fill
chop tanks as needed.
Assure
dry additives such as Boric Acid, Sugar and Pot Ash are added as need to
maintain
proper levels in the Mill system.
Keep
inventory of Boardline Glue, Dens Glue, Boric Acid, Chop, Vermiculite,
Soap, Silicon, Siliconate, Sugar, Pot Ash
DDP Curtain Painter: Operate Dens Deck Prime Curtain Coater
Responsibilities:
Attach and secure all hoses
and electrical connections
Stage
paint mixing totes (2000lbs) and add water at proper ratio to assure
viscosity adheres to master formulation
Adjust
Frequency Drive settings to achieve proper pump pressure assuring paint coverage
is even and adequate to meet product specification
Assure
scales calibrated and Zahn gauge are kept clean for accurate measurements
Assure
all components are flushed thoroughly at end or run to prevent any build
up of sediment in pumps or hoses
